How do I cancel?
Cancel through the store you subscribed with — we can’t cancel it for you. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Blobb → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Blobb → Cancel.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date, or the next period will already have been charged. If you’re on a free trial, the same deadline applies before it converts to a paid subscription.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Neither does deleting your Blobb account.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, because they process the payment — we never see your card details.
App Store: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple’s decision is final and we can’t override it.
Google Play: use “Report a problem” next to the purchase in Google Play. Google decides requests made within 48 hours; after that the request comes to us and we’ll consider it in good faith. You can also email us directly.
I paid but Blobb still says I’m free
Open Blobb → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought with — a purchase belongs to the store account that made it, not to your Blobb account.
Your account and your data
Do I need an account?
No. Blobb works without signing in. Connecting Sign in with Apple or Google is what lets you recover your data if you lose or replace your phone, and sync between devices. Without it, your data can’t be recovered — we have no way to identify it as yours.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
- On your old phone, open Settings → connect Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Install Blobb on the new phone.
- Sign in with the same account. Your profile, food diary, weight history and progress come across automatically.
How do I delete my account?
Open Blobb → Settings → Manage Your Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, food diary, weight history and progress from our servers, and clears the copy stored on your device. It can’t be undone.
Meal templates you chose to publish stay available to other users, but are unlinked from you. We keep a record that you accepted our Terms, and payment records where the law requires — both are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Cancel your subscription first — deleting your account doesn’t stop billing.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email us and we’ll send you what we hold in a standard electronic format. Your rights under the Philippines’ Data Privacy Act — access, correction, objection, erasure, portability — are set out in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
Common problems
My data isn’t syncing
Sync only runs once you’ve connected an account, and it needs a network connection. Check Settings to confirm Apple or Google is connected, then reopen the app. If a day’s meals look missing on a second device, give it a moment — the diary and your profile arrive separately.
I’m not getting reminders
Check that notifications are allowed for Blobb in your phone’s settings (iOS: Settings → Notifications → Blobb. Android: Settings → Apps → Blobb → Notifications), then confirm reminders are switched on inside Blobb. If you denied the permission when first asked, you’ll need to re-enable it in your phone’s settings — the app can’t ask again.
A calorie or nutrient number looks wrong
Food data comes from the USDA’s FoodData Central and from nutrition information published by restaurants, so figures are estimates — they vary with brand, batch, portion and preparation. If something looks clearly wrong, email us with the food and what you’d expect, and we’ll look into it.
Please don’t rely on Blobb where accuracy is medically important. Never use it to check for allergens or to calculate a prescribed intake, such as carbohydrate counting for insulin. Always check the product’s own packaging and label.
Blobb is a general wellness app, not medical advice and not a medical device. See section 2 of the Terms.
I don’t know which sex to pick, or I think mine is wrong
Blobb asks for sex at birth because the equations use it to estimate how much energy your body needs — it stands in for muscle and fat mass rather than identity. There is no third option because there is no third equation: averaging the two has never been validated, and an app offering a third choice is either mapping it to one of the two or inventing a number.
If you are transgender, non-binary or gender non-conforming, the methodology page sets out which to choose and why. And whatever you pick, you can set your calorie goal directly in Settings and ignore our estimate entirely.
I can’t sign in
Sign in with Apple and Google both run through their own systems, so a failure is usually a device or account issue rather than a Blobb one. Try closing and reopening the app, then check you’re signed in to Apple or Google on the device itself. If it still fails, email us and say which method you used and what the message said.
Anything else
Bug reports, feature requests, and “this is confusing” notes are all genuinely welcome — small apps get better mostly because people bother to write in.
